Bespoke funeral ceremony for your beloved
‘Love Grace and Gratitude’ is a bespoke funeral offering and an idea that naturally evolved to become a part of Cariad Personal Ceremonies. As a community Celebrant, I offer the same flexibility and personalised approach to funeral services, as I provide for all my other ceremonies. Working with a growing number of venues across the area, there are more choices than ever before when it comes to funeral ceremonies. I will design a special service to reflect the personality of your beloved. You will have the opportunity to say your goodbyes in a truly memorable, dignified and befitting funeral service.
Whenever you lose a loved one, it feels like a shock. At a time when you are trying to come to terms with your grief, arranging a funeral can be overwhelming. Having had the privilege of working alongside many families during their time of grief and despair, I have written and delivered highly personalised services as a true ‘celebration of life’ when it comes to their loved ones.
- You won’t have to wait for an available slot at the crematorium (which can sometimes be lengthy due to the restrictions on crematorium waiting lists) before having your service.
- You will have a choice of location on a date to suit you and your family. You won’t be restricted to certain venues, as services can be held at local village halls, private gardens, natural burial grounds and even in care homes, space permitting. If you need a venue to hold a large number of mourners, I am happy to help you source a suitable space.
- Together we decide on the ceremony content, which will be designed and written specifically for your beloved. For example, if your loved one was a train enthusiast, we can arrange a service and wake at a local railway museum. Or, if your beloved was a keen golfer, the service could be held at a golf club. The choice is entirely yours to make…
Whether you have your beloveds coffin present with you or you’ve chosen to have a service with just the ashes present, the ceremony will be designed in line with your wishes (flexibility for families to have a private or direct cremation). I only work with trusted reputable local Funeral Directors to ensure that you receive the very highest level of service when it comes to your beloved’s funeral ceremony.
The ‘Harmony Experience’
Special Moments, Created into Forever Memories
The ‘Harmony Experience’ is where family members come forward together at an appropriate time during the service, to pour personally chosen, coloured glass crystals into a glass receptacle. The family then have the opportunity to relate the colours to special, spoken memories of the deceased. After the service, the crystals are taken to a talented local glassblower where they are transformed into a lovingly handcrafted, unique piece of glass. You can also blend the ashes of a beloved with the glass crystals to create a special memorial keepsake. This unique ceremony enables you to create an emotional connection of your time together, which will evoke wonderful memories of your beloved’s life.
The Wake
After the funeral service, the wake can take place at the same venue or a different location. Your family and mourners can stay in the venue for refreshments including licensed bar facilities, tea and coffee. There will be a variety of menus available for you to choose from. However, if you choose a venue without catering facilities, I work alongside local caterers whom I am happy to recommend and who will work to your budget.
